SAMAH TAHIR

Being a part of the survivor community means a lot to me and I look forward to being able to share my story with other survivors and community members.

S2S Mentor

Michelle Nedvetski

Age of Diagnosis: 12
Type of Cancer
: Medulloblastoma
What’s your favourite part of being a mentor to the S2S facilitators?
This program is an opportunity for the facilitators to develop professional skills and build meaningful connections in the S2S community. My goal is to incorporate life-learning skills and help the amazing presenters add to their list of accomplishments. Having already been a facilitator in the past, I see how the program grows each year and how every individual brings their own piece of a larger puzzle. It’s a pleasure to be a part of this expansive community and bring in my own experience and insights.

About the S2S Network

POGO is committed to supporting childhood cancer survivors and brain tumour survivors beyond diagnosis and treatment. We also recognize survivors as the experts in their journey. Designed for survivors aged 16 and over, our Survivor to Survivor (S2S) Network is a special series of interactive presentations where survivor facilitators present helpful information, lead discussions and share personal experiences about a variety of survivorship topics.

  • Learn: Discover resources and tools to help you achieve your personal, educational and career goals
  • Connect: Meet fellow childhood cancer survivors and brain tumour survivors
  • Empower: Educate each other as the experts in your personal survivorship journeys!

We encourage you to register for one of the presentations in your area or contact us for more information. You may also wish to check out these inspiring video testimonials in which some of our former facilitators talk about their personal experiences and discuss the value of the S2S Network for survivors. Please sign up for The POGO School and Work Transitions Program eNews and follow POGO on our social media @POGO4Kids for announcements about new, upcoming presentations!
