Fever in the neutropenic patient (FN) is a common medical emergency in oncology practice. This panel discussion reviewed the epidemiology of FN in our population and introduced recently published international guidelines adapted for use by POGO. Case discussions were used to highlight principles of the guidelines and differences in tertiary practice that may impact the care of patients in the satellite centres.
