Presentation Description: This ‘quick hit’ looked at the practical aspects of assessing and managing mucositis in pediatric oncology patients and what can be done to minimize the impact of this common and often devastating side effect of cancer therapy. Specifically, this presentation examined pathophysiology, various grading scales, superimposed infections, an overview of management and prophylaxis.
