Abstract Submission Criteria

Abstracts are encouraged in all areas related to care and control of malignant disease in children with cancer. Submissions may cover ANY dimension of childhood cancer care and control including research, innovative program delivery, data management, and education and policy development.  All professional disciplines are encouraged to submit posters.

Abstracts must be submitted by Friday, September 30, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. EST.

VIEW ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDE

Review Process

  1. Abstracts must be submitted online by Friday, September 30, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
  2. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by members of the 2022 POGO Symposium on Childhood Cancer Planning Committee.
  3. Authors will be notified about abstract acceptance by Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Poster Awards

POGO will award $250.00 for one outstanding abstract/poster submitted by a Fellow/Trainee in each of the following categories:

  • Nursing
  • Clinical Medicine
  • Medical Sciences
  • Behavioural Discipline

Oral Presentation

Eight abstracts will be selected by the planning committee for presentation on the POGO Symposium main stage; each presenter will have three minutes to summarize their poster in one PowerPoint slide. Presenters will only present once but must be available on both Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 (scheduling of each presentation on either Friday or Saturday will be confirmed by October 12). If you do not wish to be considered for oral presentation, you can indicate this at the time of submission.
