2008 POGO Symposium on Childhood Cancer

The 2008 POGO Symposium – New Frontiers: Building on 25 Years of Progress – explored major advances in pediatric oncology over the past 25 years, with the intent of translating the key advances over those years into a road map of the years ahead.  Specific topics included: targeted therapy; new insights into and therapeutic implications for neurocognitive toxicities; cancer stem cells; pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic management of nausea and vomiting; and behavioural and biologic aspects of cancer fatigue.
