Helping Schools Cope with Childhood Cancer

Current Facts and Creative Solutions

The Pediatric Cancer School Support Program of Southwestern Ontario is pleased to announce a revision of "Helping Schools Cope with Childhood Cancer: Current Facts and Creative Solutions".

This booklet was designed to give educators information, suggestions, and confidence to meet the needs of children with cancer, their families, and their classmates and peers.

The convenient flip-chart format of the booklet makes it easy for busy teachers to find the information they need.

Topics covered include medical facts, treatment, side effects, helping the child, siblings, parents, and classmates, and planning a classroom presentation.

The booklet also includes ideas on how to help and information on other resources on childhood cancer.
