O Harold Warwick Prize

In 2007, Dr. Mark Greenberg received the prestigious O. Harold Warwick Prize, awarded to researchers deemed to have had a major impact on cancer control in Canada.
For those less familiar with this National Cancer Institute of Canada Award, citation on the website is as follows:
For 35 years, Dr Mark Greenberg has made outstanding contributions
to improving the survival and quality of life of children with cancer.
His tireless efforts have led to remarkable improvements in areas such as survival and long term outcomes in childhood leukemia, brain tumours and solid tumours, cancer care delivery, and the epidemiology of childhood cancer. He has made many contributions to public health policy and agendas, and has played an important role in the study and modification of long-term adverse effects of childhood cancer and treatment on survivors.
In 2001 he was awarded the Order of Canada for contributions to childhood cancer control.
Dr. Greenberg is Senior Staff Oncologist at The Hospital for Sick Children, as well as Professor of Pediatrics and Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is also the past Medical Director and a founding member of the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO).
