Academic upgrading programs provide free, intensive instruction in English, math, biology, chemistry, computer skills, self-management and career development. They help prepare participants for employment or further postsecondary education. Part time classes are also available.
| Available for: | Adults 19 years and up, eligible to work and study in Ontario. |
| Referral: | No referral needed; may require intake assessment. At Humber College, people at LBS Level 1 are referred by community agencies; all others are self-referral. |
| Application: | Contact the office; application may require an intake assessment and/or participation in an information session. Continuous intake on a weekly or monthly basis. |
| Fee: | Sometimes a nominal registration fee is applicable. |
| Hours: | Monday to Friday, 9-5 pm. A 24 hour voice answering machine is also available. |
| Decision Time: | Anywhere from immediate to 2 weeks. |
