General Arts and Science programs are one-year certificate or two-year diploma programs which prepare students for further education at the college or university level. Students take a combination of core courses and electives focusing on arts, sciences or interdisciplinary arts.
| Available for: | 18 years and up. OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) or mature student status. Sufficient mathematics and communications skills (assessed based on senior high school courses or other form of assessment). |
| Referral: | No referral needed. |
| Application: | Apply through OCAS. |
| Fee: | Normal college tuition. OSAP and BSWD are available. |
| Hours: | Starts in Fall (or Winter); lasts 4 semesters. (Some colleges have both September and January intake). |
| Decision Time: | Complete applications are processed as soon as possible. Incomplete ones take longer. |
