General Arts and Science programs are one-year certificate or two-year diploma programs which prepare students for further education at the college or university level. Students take a combination of core courses and electives focusing on arts, sciences or interdisciplinary arts.
Available for:18 years and up. OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) or mature student status. Sufficient mathematics and communications skills (assessed based on senior high school courses or other form of assessment).
Referral:No referral needed.
Application:Apply through OCAS.
Fee:Normal college tuition. OSAP and BSWD are available.
Hours:Starts in Fall (or Winter); lasts 4 semesters. (Some colleges have both September and January intake).
Decision Time:Complete applications are processed as soon as possible. Incomplete ones take longer.
