Clinical Oncology

Active from 1987 to the present, POGO's Clinical Oncology Committee (CLOC) serves a number of roles. These include:

  • Identifying clinical and service delivery issues arising in the provincial pediatric oncology network
  • Investigating trends in clinical care/control
  • Developing solutions, and overseeing implementation of new provincial programs
  • Providing expert input into the development of blueprints and consensus driven guidelines for the delivery of services
  • Anticipating, planning and implementing educational programs required to prepare professionals to participate in new programs and service models.

Its membership includes social workers, psychologists, child life workers, survivors, nurses and physicians, who together represent all of the POGO programs and several community based services.
